Previously released as a set of four 12" records the compilation series titled "NOW" is finally available as a sixteen track CD. It reflects the contemporary musical focus of Berlin based Underscan Records.

Featured acts are Underscan recording artists FRANK BRETSCHNEIDER, SCANNER, DALEZY, GRAM, SOMSHIT, ONETHEMA, PYTLIK and MENU:EXIT as well as guest appearances from FUNCKARMA, LAMBENT, FIBLA, QUENCH, BOGGER, EVEREST, SLEMPER and 3TRONIK.

Scanner is renowned British artist Robin Rimbaud. From his early controversial work using found mobile phone conversations, through to his focus on trawling the hidden noise of the modern metropolis, his restless explorations of the experimental terrain have won him international admiration from amongst others, Bjork, Aphex Twin and Stockhausen.

Frank Bretschneider is Berlin based musician and Raster-Noton co-founder who well known for his various works on labels like Mille Plateaux, 12K, Audio NL and of course Raster-Noton. He is amongst the innovators of the clicks and cuts movement.

Funckarma consists of brothers Don and Roel Funken from the Netherlands who have a strong reputation for their production work with the Shadowhuntaz. The also feature another track on this compilation under their Quench moniker.

Menu:Exit comprises of Ralf Pytlik and Markward Wagner who are the founders of Underscan Records. Ralf Pytlik also presents a solo track under his name Pytlik.

Dalezy is Ronny Engmann also Berlin who was the first artist to ever release a record on Underscan which has since become a classic. He is an active member of the underground Demo Scene which has had a huge influence on his music.

Gram aka Graham Love from London is also part of Underscan core artists. He has released the Simple Funk EP in 2001 and had various contributions to compilations with his works.

Onethema is anthropologist Simon Petre from London. He is a genius in narrative arrangements and complex rhythmic compositions.

Somshit is Akira Sawada from Saitama/Japan who released his debut album Paster on Underscan in 2002. Apart from that he is an active member of the ongoing Japanese electronic music scene with releases on various Japanese labels.

Lambent is Akira Inagawa from Japan who is based in Berlin. His vast array of works have been released on labels like Expanding, Jetlag or Alianation and his next album is about to be released soon on City Centre Offices.

Fibla is well known in the world of todays electronica. With his own imprint spa.RK he offers records that are "intented for emotional audiencies". He released on such labels as Sub Rosa, Quartermass, Benbecula, Worm Interface and Expanding.

Bogger is Oliver Kiesow also from Berlin. He runs Digital-Gadget/Front Records and has previously released two EPs on this label that gained much respect from known DJs. He is furthermore part of the duo Taktik (also on Front Records).

Everest are Matu Hügli and Michael Meienberg from Bern (Switzerland) who also run Everest Records and have been actively taking part in the swiss electronic scene for some years.

Slemper aka Maarten Meussen from DenHaag (NL) who released his debut album "Mismatch" on the belgian Aeclectrick imprint.

3tronik aka Fabien Florin from France. His track "Verwirrung" has already gained lots of interest by music fans all over the world as the result of being already released by net labels like Sutemos.
